"Miami Corner Store" was going to be a full step-by-step tutorial course to creating a building environment set in Miami using Maya and UE4. Unfortunately it never got finished. Out of 7 modules, I completed 3. I've decided to release the completed videos to you for free.
Let's get to Part 3/3: UVing.
Part 3 of Miami Corner Store is focused on UVing everything to get it ready for texturing. You'll see the UVing process from unwrapping every single modeled geometry to final UV layout.
Note on UV Layout: final UV layout is using single 0-1 space. If I were to layout the UVs now for the same building and all its detail, I would utilize more trim sheets and repeating textures.
UVing the main building.
UVing the back of the building.
UVing the stairs.
UVing the doors.
UVing the window shutters and awning.
UVing the water drain pipe.
UVing the window bars.
UVing the building's lights.
UVing the electrical pipes.
UVing the clectric boxes and meter.
UVing the electrical wires.
UVing the railing.
UVing the sidewalk.
UVing the ground planes around the building.
Creating the final UV layout.
Final UV layout is using single 0-1 space. If I were to layout the UVs now for the same building and all its detail, I would utilize more trim sheets and repeating textures.
Learn Maya UVing completely from the start so you can begin texturing your models in this Maya Home-Study Course...
